Analysis - KUR proposal for missiles

The Verge Gazette, the Kid United Republics leading news front has confirmed President Nolan’s new plan, something which comes as a surprise to many – a missile program. Never attempted by a micronation before, the gazette confronts us on Nolan wishing to create “new rockets that can explode on impact”. Sounds similar to the Molossian space program, only this is to be built for military purposes.

Humanytarian armed forces have yet to support the project; even though earlier this month it was announced that they are planning to expand and are willing to support any military projects which had even been announced by Vice Comrade Gul herself.

To ease the pain, Radia I asked a few questions to Jackson Cole, former president of the republic.

What's your stance on the Missile 'crisis' currently taking place in the Kid United Republic? *I currently oppose it. Do you think these sort of actions are justifiable? *No not really, the only action that could justified is for scientific use. Could this be seen as a threat to other micronations? *Yes, there is the "Alpine" Military Base in Sacramento that belongs to the Usian Republic. And there is other micronations in the surrounding area. If a war came out of this, would you compare it to the peaceful Humanytaria-Ongal short lived crisis or the more hostile Pannonian war? *I would say very hostile. I know that the Kid United Republic Military will fight for their country. And they will never, ever surrender. (Especially with these new "missiles") Wouldn't you think the U.S government would take action in a scenario which missiles are involved, considering you are yet to be recognize by the macro nation? *I don't think that they would. The "Missiles" are partly classified but it is basically a model rocket that is made to fit four airsoft grenades. Then, once rocket is launched it will activate a timer which, will turn on the switch on the grenades. 1 second before rocket hits target it will explode. It is basically a huge airsoft grenade and with the right permits it is legal by US definition. The most scary thing is about this is that it, can be cheaply mass-produced. What advise have you given to Nolan following his proposal? *I advised him that it will give a lot of International criticism that is why he isn't on the forum that much. He told me to stay out of it, and said he know what he is doing. I love him, but this needs to change. The only thing that can stop him is nothing unless the community can help me out.

Steve Strong, leader of the Communist and Socialist Party cannot see a problem with it, however most members of KUR do, and that is what is to be taken into account.
